The English Graduate Student Association held its annual Fall Colloquium on October 23rd. This year's colloquium featured the scholarly and creative work of undergraduate and graduate English students. In order to encourage undergraduate participation, this year’s colloquium did not have a specific theme. Because of this, the presentations represented a wealth of topics, ranging from 17th and 18th century literature to 20th century literature to new intersections with visual mediums such as television shows and video games. In addition to highlighting the work of undergraduate and graduate students, EGSA was pleased to have three guest speakers representing each of the three tracks of English studies in our department: Literature, Rhetoric and Composition, and Creative Writing. These presentations were given by Dr. Jay Zysk, Dr. Marc Santos, and Dr. John Fleming. Graduate student presenters included Seth Spencer, Stephanie Derisi, Sarah Nicely, Elizabeth Loyer, and Allyson Hoffman. Undergraduate student presentations and readings were given by Mollie McKinley, Sabrina Lutz, Nicole Rae Grannie, and Courtney Clute. Following each section of presentations, presenters and audience members were invited to part take in a dessert bar reception. This year's Fall Colloquium was coordinated by Lesley Brooks and Jon Ray.

Thank you to all that participated, volunteered, and attended! And don't forget about the approaching deadline for EGSA's Spring Conference!
